There’s no better way to start your day in Turkey, especially on a street food tour, than at a lokantasi. We headed to Izmir Esnaf Lokantasi Mahmut Usta, a very popular lokantasi in Izmir, to try some of their famous dishes. This Izmir Esnaf Lokantasi does some very unique dishes, like chickpeas with tripe, baked kokoreç, and dried chilies with yogurt. We couldn’t have chosen a better Izmir Esnaf Lokantasi to start our day full of Turkish street food.

We walked the streets of Izmir along to the promenade, where we stopped for a tea on a boat in the water, it was such a cool experience, Izmir is such a vibrant and beautiful city. The Turkish street food in Izmir, Turkey, is just unbelievable.

The number one Turkish street food stop in Izmir for Izmir gevrek is at Zeynel Ergin Gevrek Fırını. We headed there to try this famous street food breakfast that is special to Izmir. This place is known for being busy and it was packed! They were pumping out gevreks like there’s no tomorrow! We couldn’t believe the line of people on the street here in Izmir, waiting for their street food breakfast to start the day. The gevrek team were so friendly and so skilled, it really made our morning.

We passed a bakery selling fresh hot salep on the street that we just couldn’t pass up, it was so creamy and delicious! Nothing like Turkish street salep.

For our last stop on our street food tour in Izmir, Turkey, we went for some homemade Turkish manti. There’s nothing like homemade Turkish manti, tiny pockets of dough with juicy lamb inside, made with love due to their teeny tiny size! Covered in yogurt and spiced to perfection, these homemade Turkish manti need to be seen to be believed.

We hope you enjoy seeing all of the tasty street food in Izmir, Turkey, from the popular Izmir Esnaf Lokantasi to the homemade Turkish manti. We can’t wait to share more amazing Turkish street food with you!

İzmir çok büyük bir şehir siz sadece merkez i gezebilmişsiniz Seferihisar da güzel bir mekanda balık meze yemeliydiniz meze çok fazla çeşit vardır urlada şarap üraticilerine uğramalıydınız alaçatı da otlu börekler otlu yumurtalar yemeliydiniz tire köfte ödemiş köfte denemeliydiniz karşıyaka tarafında dolaşmalıydınız yazmakla bitmez İzmir

  3. Esnaf lokantasında keşke zeytinyağlı bir yemekte yeseydiniz zeytin yağlı enginar. sarma yada taze fasulye gibi

  4. Kelle paça çorbasına az limon sirke sarımsak ilave ederseniz çok güzel oluyor birde sadece paça çorbası için kuzu ayağından yapılır kimi yerlerde sığır ayağından da yapılır süper kolejenli olur çok yararlıdır

  5. Hello guys. Great channel and great video. I just would like to point out one thing: In Turkish language, the suffix -si is used to indicate a possessive. Example: X Lokantası means X's restaurant. İzmir Esnaf Lokantası means İzmir Shopkeepers' Lokanta, since esnaf literally means shopkeeper(s). The root word is "lokanta", which etymologically comes from "locanda" in Italian, originally translating as "inn". So, the correct usage is "a lokanta", not "a lokantasi". Just a small point : ) Keep up the good work.

  6. Ciao guys 🙂 Another amazing video! I loved all the pastries and especially the manti at the end. Thank you so much for sharing your food adventures with us. Keep up the great work 💪❤️
