I wonder if they would throw the audience a twist an open the game at Shinra and the perspective of someone like Tseng, and you would have him talking to Rufus about Sephiroth and instead of the Nibelheim flashback, we’d get a story on Sephiroth and how he became legendary in the Wutai war. Meanwhile the party could set out from Kalm w Cloud having just told the party about Nibelheim, but through the game we see a detailed Nibelheim back story shown out in bits and pieces. So the audience would get that scene they want to see but it would be thrown at them from a different angle

4. Good conversation. I really appreciate how you both discuss the fact that we really don't know what's going on in Remake. Everyone has theories about what's coming next, but very few acknowledge that we really don't know what we just witnessed. Lots of emphasis on an open future by Aerith at the end, so I'm willing to posit we maybe shouldn't expect to have any new installments follow the OG progression all that tightly. Same places, but perhaps very different context when the party gets to them.

   I agree with LB: Aerith could very likely live. They're pushing her pending death so hard in Remake that it won't be a "shock" at all. Someone else could die instead…did they project something by having Barret "die"?

6. I can also highly recommend New Threat 2.0 mod for FF7. It’s definitive for me and makes a flawed masterpiece into a 10/10 masterpiece. Super good stuff.

   Biggs and wedge. Them 3 also are suspect. I really believe all the dead characters , are not confused at all. Only the ones who made it out alive are. Because the dead ones, are on a mission to stop sephy from coming out on top in another dimension…. anything other then this theory… really any of them sound really over the top. Because ff7 is already convoluted to start with lol

9. You have to pay attention to advent children.

   Zack and Areith were able to connect with Cloud. In that movie.

   I 100% think sephy pulled a slick one on Aerith and Zack. And got them working over time in the afterlife.

   These characters are still dead but not…. they already went to paradise. I think SE, strongly believes, when you die. Your spirit lives on. So your never truly not existing.

10. Personally, I think the remake is a sequel.

    I think sephy pulled a time travel move. Areith and Zack who are in the life stream. Learns about it. And Areith goes back into time to repeat the events of ff7 along with sephy. And Zack is coming along to see it.

    I think eventually aerith will tell the characters, she and Zack can see the future.

    It honestly really convoluted when you add Zack back into the mix….but I think Zack, sephy and Areith know way more then they give off. While the other characters are just confused as they were in the 1997 game, because they didn't die…. so Cloud, Tifa and Barret are just repeating the story.

    In the dark universe, Cloud is probably running errands for Tifa. I know after DOC, Cloud…becomes a delivery boy for Tifa and Barret to keep close.

11. Ff13 uses a lot of synthesizers.

    So does FF7, hell. Ff7 started that trend of music in FF games.

    I think Crisis core ost was more heroic folk type style of music then the gloomy 80s sounding music from FF7.

12. FF13's soundtrack reminded me of FF7's soundtrack but a more modern version.
    I wasn't shocked, because DOC. Also has, a soundtrack that sounds just like FF13's.

    That was one of the 1st things I notice, before part 1 was even released and I ran across some leaked footage. I said, "this soundtrack, sounds a lot like a more orchestra FF13"
