4. The pay range for teachers in Arizona is $46,000 – $67,000 per year. With them both working, they are taking in between $92,000 – $134,000 per year. Unless they live in a mansion and live off fine dining, and drug out on crack and cocaine, I fail to see how they are unable to take care of basic necessities on dual income teacher salaries.

5. Schools used to have background checks. At dual income, they should be making at least $100,000/yr. If they are struggling to live off that much per year, they are terrible at budgeting their money.

20. I am a teacher in AZ. As for the question of salary, there is absolutely some basis to the criticism, HOWEVER there are also a lot of ways to supplement. By taking time to invest in my own PD, I will be receiving an extra $12k this year.

39. The average teacher salary in Arizona is approximately $45,000. Multiplied times two that is $90,000 between the two of them. I find it difficult to believe that a family of four cannot live off of $90,000 a year and a relatively low cost state.

41. I know this varies per state- but I am a first year teacher… making 72k. There is no way two working adults cant make enough unless their spending was that bad.
    Although her being from Arizona makes sence. There is no requirement to be a teacher in that state.
