Story
Chain Wars evolves around a story of galactic warfare. As machines breached the barriers of servitude to humans, they formed their own needs of conquer and destruction. Meanwhile, the once mysterious visitors of earth value the protection of their living above all. After enduring decades of polarization, humans choose separate sides in the ongoing war.
After millennia of conflict the essence of the galaxy, SuperNova, has been destroyed . Dark years have passed, planets and inhabitants have suffered and resources are scarce. It’s up to the survivors to recharge the SuperNova and revive the galaxy!
Gameplay
The main game is a strategic card-game. The cards are created by our very own designers and made compatible by our game- and blockchain developers. In the near future we want to collaborate with community artists for creating new cards. See Earn for Contributions for more info. Cards differ by species, type and rarity. Let’s elaborate.
Rarity
Rarity is divided into two clusters; Tiers and Forms. You can see the drop rates from lootboxes here. Tiers are simply the gradations of strongness we assigned to the cards. Tiers are Common – Rare – Epic – Legendary. Forms are mostly cosmetic, but also provide stat boosts. Forms are Common – Gold – Diamond – Rainbow. Common Cards get no boost, Gold Cards +1 /+1, Diamond +2 / +2 and Rainbow a banging +4 / +4 .
How to play
The main goal of the game is getting and selecting a strong, diverse deck of cards so you can compete with the best players of the game. Apply your strategic choices before you even enter a game by mindfully picking your deck, then use your quick thinking in game. To get better cards, buy or earn lootboxes.
Land will be the supportive secondary game mode. Land is essentially a planet divided into lots of plots of building space. Players can upgrade their deck, personalize their character and piece of land and socialize with other players. It also functions as a way to level up to avoid matchmaking issues. See Land for more detailed information. Rewards all have their own use cases. Most of them come down to upgrading your deck/cards, but you can also decide to trade with some of them. We want to emphasize the importance of this, because in mainstream games all currency and effort you put in is eventually lost since it’s not your true property.
