13. My parents stayed together for the kids. This song is an anthem for both situations. 20 years ruined by their anger and resentment before I got the hell out of there. They’re the role models for what I never want to be like as a parent.

    Screaming, fighting, always angry, always taking their anger at each other out on us. Being so miserably unhappy that they had to make us miserably unhappy too.

15. My daughter, who's 5, and doesn't understand english listen to this recently by hers choice. With mental disordered mom, who's will was to destroy our family. Kids love both parents, no matter how they are, but not everyone understand this and want to trick them to their advantage.

31. I love this song. My husband grew up in a single parent home, is well adjusted. Never once fought with him in 10 years …of chaos. From my side. A 2 parent, but still broken (by drugs and alcohol, anger and domestic violence) but I ma glad they stayed together for the kids. Wouldn't trade then for a thing. My mom always said I said my vows, I'm keeping them. They've been together, married, and with child since she was 16. Then had twins (me and my beloved sister may she rest in peace, along a my dear brother🎚🖤)
