Iago the macaw is a 5 year old greenwing that likes to say Hat. He came for a 16 day stay with Mikey and Mia as his human went on holiday. This video will show you how he adapted to his new environment. It’s not always easy with a new bird, especially with large parrot like Iago. In this video you will see macaw bites, bird cuddles, free flying, diet, regurgitating, parrots talking, and a beautiful love that blossoms between Iago and Mia.

This wasn’t as easy as we made this look, looking after macaws is a huge commitment, they require a lot of time and patience, we don’t think we could handle 3 forever haha. We hope you guys enjoy this as we felt we didn’t film much at all until it came to the edit, but it seems that a few mins of picking up the camera each day worked wonders.

  15. lol My bird always says boo and peek, peekaboo. She also says hot however, only to things that are hot. For example food, then she makes a blowing sound!! Candles/hot stove/hot lighter /hot. He is saying hot not hat!! lol Iago really looks like a female green wing. The males i have seen have hugeeee heads.
