In today’s video we take our 13 GPU Mining Rig running a ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ Mining Motherboard that has an Intel i5 CPU and setup it up to also mine Monero at the same time. This is a short information guide on how to configure HIVEOS to mine on not only your GPUs but your CPUs at the same time, to make a little extra XMR Monero on the side. Enjoy!

  1. Are you currently CPU Mining? If so whats your experience with it? Profitable or a bust?

  2. When I run xmrig my eth hash rate drops 20%. How can I limit number of core's in xmrig? I'm running windows….

  3. Got it running however my CPU is running at 94 degrees, any way to under clock to get temps down?

  4. I'm mining XMR since may/2021 with a i5 4590S and since sep/2021 i5 4590. Both has the same hasrate arround 1600~1800H/s. I use XMRig v6.12.2 without Hive OS. I'm have with it. My planing is keep this altcoin for 10 years.

  5. Yea man,I mined on the "Gate" for 4-5 years with a few old systems, finally got my XMR out by a manual transfer from them and moved on to other pools.

  6. i couldn't get it to work with my rig, but when it did work it caused the others to have issues.

  7. i just try with minexmr pool with 170 computer (i5 gen 8) and i get 250 kH/s per day. i got $400 per month. thats so cool wkwkwkwk

  8. So I just tested this out on a rig that has 1 GPU at 47 Megahash ETH mining.. when i enabled XMRig to mine on the CPU concurrently, the ETH hash dropped about 7 Megahash when XMR started running down to 39-40 MHash. This is not worth it to me for the trade off… NOPE not an option for me. Just my own evidence at work here. Perhaps there are tweaks needed to make this work right?!?

  9. Thanks for the Video, However you and every other miner need to chill yer shit and let others that need video cards to use as video cards purchase them. I am not the only one when I say, we need cards to upgrade our gaming machines… so you and other miners just knock it off already… your causing price hikes and shortages!

  10. Thanks for the info. Through a weird scenairo, I got into mining and am now learning more about it. Since you really can't attached to a bitcoin pool with anything less then a datacenter, I'm targeting monero and others.

  11. The Cpu will run hot and hash is minimal. Recommend for monero mining CPU.AMD 3900, 3950, .5900 or 5950. Water cooler a most to overclock cpu . C14 At least C16 Ram 3200 best 4400 is stable on motherboard stable at 3800. SupportXmr pool. Threadripper are expesive but carry more cores. Two tread per core needed also works of L3 cache higher is better. Running 4 rigs on SupportXMR build only for cpu mining 2 more pending golden time and parts. Good video notice hash on hive is less. I mine directly also change donation on program to. 1 could be set at 5.

  12. 1,7kH is to low imo…if a CPU can give you over 20kH (costs with MB around 1000€)..my i7.10700KF is doing 5kH (cost me around 600€ with MB..much less than 3 GPUs)…it would be much better to buy 2,3..5 CPU's then buying 10 GPUs for that matter..I think you're doing better mining anything else (ETH or RVN) at this moment with those GPUs..even later when ETH will be unminable, profits from other coins will be better than from XMR.

  13. IMO .. it just isn’t worth CPU mining unless you have multiple threadripper CPU’s the ones with high ass core and thread count…. but even then.. the cost is high af.. so.. I mean idk..

  14. Very little resale market for Verus Coin. It has a tiny market cap. XMR to Bitcoin via unmineable is a much better strategy. Just sit back and watch the sats stack.

  15. lol i used to mine on minergate with my hp i7 4790s and it was making a decent amount of money

  16. The profitability is just too low. Hacked pcs and servers raise network hashrate ridiculously high.

  17. im still mining monero with i3 … I know is not profitable … but what I can say .. Im not afford yet to buy GPU

  18. U could do mining with Phone, yes I know it sounds idiotic and it kinda is, there are some low cache algos aviable, react native xmrig is 1in all as it jumps between algos, considing you can get used Phone with 20euros, my 3phones make, 2.3 k/hs yes kh/s
It dosent have referall system and its open source.

  19. Not very profitable is why people generally don't mine xmr. I'm very surprised it's at 282$ that's pretty amazing considering it was worthless back in day when I tried it. Goes to show that mining alts can be big bucks down road one day.

  20. i been CPU mining from the start of my journey. I mean…I'm not just gonna let it sit there.

  21. I have been using MinerGate currently on multi thread Intel's laying around the office. All of which are Dell's. On my laptop I'm getting ~350Hs avg. It's 8 core running all 8 available. If it wasn't choice Dell I'd run 5 or 6 cores. On my Dell desktop which is 4 core I am running 2 cores while using it and I'm getting ~460Hs. When I can remember to kill all the apps, or kill some apps overnight and I'll step it up to 3 core and avg. about 900Hs. I don't want to burn up the CPU on this desktop so I don't run all 4 cores. But, I have and see up to ~1300Hs. As far as MinerGate is lacking and has been abandoned for the most part. But it works and you have to send and email the admin to withdraw. I'm actually building a version of the MXR beast you created. I have been through the ringer with faulty boards and waiting on a ASUS570PLUS. I'm going to start with a AMD3200G and (2×8)32M 3400DIMM and M.2-512G or maybe two. I'd like to get a 5950 but I'm not spending $700 on one at the moment. My advise for anyone mining with CPU's is don't go for broke. You will burn up your CPU. It's like everything else in electrical usage and design stay under 80% of capacity. Great videos. Thanks for the past guidance. I still haven't got the damn 36oo DIMMS to work on certain boards. But, I will figure it out! I really like the LiveStream with RPM. Ya'll need to do that more! The network issues you all are having are solvable. You both should do videos on that topic. I don't know what you're doing and I can't help without more details. I hate to assume, but I see auto-hubs. That is not the best method. In fact it's the worst. Nothing good is cheap. And nothing cheap is good. So, my guess/assumption is you're losing bandwidth, dropping packets, having collisions, port arguments/conflicts, not packing and sending packet data at the right optimum size for your connection both on the LAN and WAN, clogging and latency lag, (& other); and it's causing havoc. Plus, it's likely not prioritizing IP's, bandwidth allocation, stacking channels/data-lanes and host of other similar issues. Straightening all that out will make it easy to add another Internet connection for redundancy. Big plus to doing all this allow to run multiple subnet masks on the same switches! YEAH BABY! SECURITY! Great for an extra layer storing wallets inside a VM. You really need managed switching like CISCO, VMs, hardware firewall connected to a VPN and combination of other things. I suggest your start watching NetworkCHUCK. He's the man! He has all the links for free CNA classes too. Great channel! Big fan! HodL!
