I think the most charitable interpretation is that DM didn’t read or understand the context of the twitter thread, and so got confused why people were interpreting her that way, but also refused to acknowledge her failure there and so had to interpret everything as attacking her and unfair and woe is me for being so put upon.

3. "make a few friends with a chemistry degree" is EXACTLY what specialisation is, but on a lower scale.
   People who argue against worldwide economy usually miss the point. It's all a matter of scale.
   Just like Europe needs to stop thinking as individual countries but as a unit. Countries themselves are usually made of what were once smaller kingdoms. Said kingdoms were also made of smaller regions, etc etc etc

4. So this is a review of a review of 2 people, with no expertise about what they are talking about. Let's just make that clear.

5. Having been victim of gaslighting myself I'd say that yes, this is quite the good representation of how it works. One-to-one this works much more effectively, but it's always about making the other person feel guilty about the perpetrator's mistake. That she refuses to answer simple and straight forward questions is key, like she could just say "No, I wasn't arguing against supply chains. Yes, I think they should exist. But, I think more math labs could make insulin instead." – END OF DEBATE. I suspect that she wasn't quite aware of the context she replied to when she did, so I suspect that her take isn't quite as bad. But, when she refuse to own up to it she blames everyone else in perpetuity.

   It was the exact same with Hanz, and I really wondered why Vaush made the effort to remain in good standing with her there because she did the exact same, but worse there. Vaush is incredible at engaging with the argument of the other person, so Hanz (like the rest of us) didn't have the same ability to not let her get space to go one step further than "I'm being misrepresented!" to "It's YOUR fault!". Which DM had to do alone to be able to blame Vaush. Bad, bad, bad

7. The Vaush convo would have gone much better for her if she had just said upfront "Look, the tweet implies something that I don't believe, here's my actual position." Instead she couldn't back down from defending it for some reason

This is one thing that bothers me endlessly about DM and her circle (Doe in particular), they feel like they're completely unable to talk about anything in concrete terms, relying on abstracting things away to sound smart without caring about what relationship what they say has to the real world.

10. When you sound like an idiot on twitter, you have to answer to questions about that in order to still be considered a reasonable person.
    She is trying to avoid answering. I cannot see how people take her seriously until she explaines this "Open a Chemistry book and just start cooking" take of hers.

11. I am convinced that demonmama is a troll, she is the embodiment of every single stereotype the right pushes of the left. On top of that she sets it up to make sure anyone who is honest hates her, she picks the worst argument for any "side" in a debate seemingly to make it easy for her to lose and then when she loses the debate (which is inevitable), she starts doing every logical fallacy in the book, and every time she does a logical fallacy she makes sure right after she does it that she accuses the opponent of doing it first before they can point out she did it, all so t can appear like a "No, u!" situation. It is the same formula every single time. I remember being confused when I saw her on a hippy dippy panel because a bunch of people kept saying she did great against CTV in a debate about guns, but she was literally just saying "Think of the children!!!!" – for 5 or more minutes straight, as if that was an argument in itself, or like it could win a debate lol. But the. It's even weirder because she tends to take the side of the right wing while pretending to be a lefty all the time, like abolishing school mandates or like this debate she had with vaush, she seriously is just the worst. The only time I felt she was right was some of the kink at pride debate but even then she was being so dishonest when engaging with vaush that I was rooting for Vaush despite disagreeing with him. It's insane how terrible she is, and I think she is 100% aware of how terrible she is. I think she is fully aware of all of it. People like destiny downplay her capacity for self-awareness and I think they are way too charitable to her sense of morality, I think all of it is a troll and a kind of controlled opposition. She has tried to cancel so many lefties, I think that's what her entire MO is – to cancel/replace prominent lefties from within. Just like Jimmy dore.

    Edit: I'm sorry, I don't want to be a massive douche but…I hate the Demon mama intro song tbh, it's got like the stereotype Hispanic piano vibe to it, it reminds me of the stereotype "Egyptian theme" they always add in bad adventure movies but instead of it being an Egyptian stereotype it's a Hispanic one. It sounds like a prerecorded Casio keyboard loop.
