Best Moon Rock Day Ever 1095
We love a lot of things at our house, but two of the things we love most are making home made crafts and space (like the space station and spacestation gaming) so today we decided that we are going to combine them into a best day full of space crafts!
First off, Adley and Niko help me get our art supplies to the table so we can make our first project, telescopes. We have markers and stickers, play doh and and pencils to help us decorate and make the coolest telescopes ever! When we are done, we run into the backyard to test them out. We want to get to high ground, so we run to the top rock on our splash pad and start looking around. We look at the clouds and at our neighbors lol till Adley sees a big lake, which is actually a swimming pool that we left in the skate park a few days ago but, i always say pretend play is more fun!! We explore the water for fish and crabs till we get chased off by space monsters aka Koopa and Olive!
While Jenny puts Niko Bear down for a nap, Aldey and I head downstairs for another DIY project. I had this really cool idea of making space rocks out of bath bombs and Sharpies so Aldey and I could do science projects with them. We tested only putting a little water on them, and we scraped off the top layers to see what was underneath. We dissect them till they are all gone and we find a hidden surprise in the middle of one!!
We then have two projects that Jenny came up with. The first is catching starts in a bottle, which was super cool and easy to do. The second we waited till Niko Bear was awake because it involved drawing spaceships and Niko loves to color. So with the whole family back together we make our rocket ships, that we then can put on the end of a straw and launch into the air. I love it, the kiddos love it, and you can love it too.
We end the day with our new routine of going for a walk around our neighborhood and looking for cats in some of the farmland by the house!! What a great Best Day Ever!!
