1. I'm using jp morgan through chase bank for my mutual funds I'm pretty happy with it so far. Active managed funds.

4. Whoever sells fractional shares of VTI or SCHB is fine. However, most bank investing do not offer fractional shares for ETFs nor Index mutual funds. Ally bank, Merrill Edge, and Chase You Invest just underperform the actual investing platforms.

12. My wife before I met her got a IRA at WF, when I looked at it it was essentially a savings account earning pennies every year, had that moved ASAP!

20. I went to a bank trying to buy the s&p. The "investment" lady was steadfast that "you can not buy the s&p, its just an index" I said over and over that I just want to buy the S&P. I walked out, realizing that everyone in their was just a salesmen

21. Sorry I don't agree a financial advisor is necessary. I did the investing all myself and wouldn't want it any other way. Putting money monthly into the index fund doesn't require an "expert"

23. opening a roth IRA with your local bank is not "buying an investment from a bank".. you are opening a roth IRA and you can buy whatever investments you want in it. Daves investment advice is always off.
