19. Interesting discussion, 2 things that may be relevant , in any industry there is a super small minority of people that make most of the money. Even on only fans there are a small % of people that are drawing the majority of subscribers. the music and film, modelling, industries are the same. Fashion works the same way there are a few brands that disproportionally make most of the money. The majority of only fans models that do explicit content will not be making that much money in comparison to the stories you see. The second comment, is in a capitalist economy a business is looking to deliver its product with the highest profit margin. That means producing a product at the most efficient cost to the business. Now if the premise of a pay gap is true then why are companies not full to the brim of 'Cheap female labour'? The fact is, men and women are different enough that on a personality scale they look for different things in a job than men. More woman prefer people related jobs and men prefer thing related jobs. Men are more disagreeable and woman tend to be more agreeable. If a woman chooses to have children they tend to have less time for their careers for a period of time. Equality of opportunity is more important here, and the same maternity options must be applied to men and woman. The funny thing is the more egalitarian our government, laws and social structures become the more apparent these differences are. Taking a representation of highly successful men an applying that to the pay gap is disingenuous to woman.

I am in the tech industry in STEM, and many of my female friends got hired before, during, and after their degrees with minimal capabilities when men with 4.0s and internships had hard time getting hired in the same companies at the same timeframe. Quotas exist. In the short term, it benefits women, but long term they don’t outcompete men because at the extremes, it’s always a small minority of hyper-conscientious men. I also had a female friend join the army with 1/4 of the physical requirements that men go through to get the same job. Based on these points, if women complain, it’s not because they are actually disadvantaged or exploited, but rather because they realized that it easier to milk the system and complain than to compete with men.
