hey i have an 800 watt redhead, but i feel it's too bright and gets too hot. which one do you recommend 650w or 800w? I see some light kits use less wattage and are more expensive?
just bought a pair of these!
pretty fun to play with but I need a bigger space to get a proper ambient light atmosphere!
only got about 20 square metres as yet but will ask my cousin if I can make a calendar out with the family out in his big ass house!
Do you mean Photon Beard? if so, they're far worse. They're Chinese knock offs and aren't correctly earthed.
*800w not kw
I'm wondering if there are fresnel lenses that can be attached to the front of these 800W Redheads? And if yes, what kind of holder would hold these fresnel lenses in front of the Redhead? I would love to see what your expert opinion would be on this?
thanks
I've found mine to be safe no problems!
I've had no problems…
much better
1 are they worth it?
2. What is the comparison to the "Photon Beam" branded ones?
Apparently these aren't earthed, so quite unsafe unless they've been earthed now. Have you had any issues with them?
@1031Six and very cheap on ebay.com and Amazon
@cosmicku Glad you liked it.

@cosmicku MANY THANKS…
@1031Six No sorry mate I do not have a deviant art page with galleries… And as for examples of the actual uses of the lighting techniques thay are few and far between because back then you Just went in ard done the job… I have moved around a lot since them days… and have lots a lot of "on-set/location" photographs… video clips plus it's quite hard to get showreel footage from tv & music promo companies so long after the Job has rapped!, lol
Also do u have a deviant art page with galleries of ur work or examples of the actual uses of the lighting techniques u discuss here?
Thats much more versitle than the shop/work lights ive been using – my question are 1. How can I use these as a rear fill light to get that "separation from the background" look (not sure how to explain what I mean) n 2. Do u change out bulbs/lighting element by wattage to intensify or defuse the affect of this light source or only bounce it off reflectors n difusers
