  3. Wow this is really gorgeous! I've gotta try this technique! 😃Thanks for the inspiration 🙏

  4. Omg you are a genius, truly a masterpiece. You make it look effortless. Its has inspired me to get some masking fluid, I could never achieve this skill level though. Thanks for sharing your video, maybe in the future you could do a demo on masking, perhaps on colored paper to differentiate the two. Tyvvm, just beautiful..

  5. Leslie – this is the first video of yours that I have ever seen and I just LOVE the way this painting came out! I follow you on Instagram and of course I have your wonderful book 365 Days of Watercolor. Thanks again for being my favorite college art teacher 😉 💝 Melissa Melvin Art 🎨

  6. question for you: after each layer of pouring why do you mask each time?! I'm curious. It turned out lovely!!!

  7. Have you ever had layers of color lifting off when removing the masking fluid? I finished my first two paintings with watercolor pouring yesterday, and the underlayers where completely destroyed by the masking fluid, leaving no more than a ghost image. Do you have any tips?

  8. Crikey, that is fantastic, you are so brave and patient. Thank you for sharing your technique.

  9. How do you dispose of the left-over poured paint that you ran off into the under-bed storage bin?

  10. Love this painting and your pouring demonstration. I like your dog's name, too. You are simply delightful and I enjoy your demos very much.

  11. please excuse me here, but I really am not clear if you actually drew this whole painting or is it a picture blown up (seems too large for this)……….sorry just had to ask……………..you are an incredible artist,   thank you so much for fabulous lesson………………barb UK

  12. have to chuckle at Twilight, she probably wonders who on earth you are talking to………….

  13. What kind of paper is that to hold so much water? How are you using/applying the masking fluid?
Great work, i love the technique!

  14. I love the effect! How long did you have to wait for it to dry between pourings. You did  5 or 6 levels and I was thinking ….hmmmm…maybe an hour to dry before wetting and pouring again. Or does it take longer and longer for the paper to dry. How long is long enough for drying so that the masking fluid will not adhere to the damp paper. You have inspired me to try this but I just want to get the small details right:-) Hi to Twilight. My dog is named Sable, yes after one of my first watercolour brushes.

  15. Thank you so much for sharing this. So inspiring. I must try this on a smaller scale. Please post some more….
