1. I’m amazed at the difference in Rogers serving style then and now. His backhand then and now. And most important how Rogers footwork dramatically improved. Pete wouldn’t have won a set against Roger at the height of his dominance…

That mishit running overhead on breakpoint by Sampras that gave Federer the break of serve to go up 5-4 in the 3rd set cost Sampras the Wimbledon singles title in 2001, even though that match was a fourth round match and not the finals. Although it is possible that Federer might have still won that match even if Sampras had held serve to go up 5-4 in the 3rd set, Sampras would have been in an excellent position to win the third set and go up two sets-to-one had he not made that huge error!

27. Something to keep in mind is that in 2001, Sampras was GOAT (he had the most majors). So we're seeing a 19 year old beat the GOAT here
