29. Hashing can only identify existing content. It can’t filter out new content, so it can’t filter for certain words in text, for example (unless they are hashing each word in the text and looking for common words to ban). It’s probably for popular gore, memes, and copypastas. If they are implementing this by blanket banning every OF-like content found on any site, I imagine this is going to come back to bite them and probably hurt their creators too. People are gonna not be able to preview their content elsewhere, or the content they created might be banned from OF itself because it was leaked.
