  1. Oh I thought y’all would leave for the amount of smog there is in the city. Or how there’s no air to breath. There’s 3 options, cancer, cigarettes, and perfumes.

  2. The expression "finding a forever home" is usually reserved for locating a permanent residence for stray animals. That said, I hope you find your forever home soon. 🙂

  3. nice! u remind me of myself and ex dutch husband, lovers of travels..Had great travels and adventures but during the 90's, it was another era..barely had emails.,a but I think it was a more free, true and easy going world.. Am ever grateful I chose to do it then in my 20-30 ish.. All the best to ya, enjoy every minute of it!

  4. I was in turkey with family for vaccation from Canada. I would never give my another dollar to turkey. Not honest people. Price can change from 10 lira to 30 lira in no time. Very rude. Hasn’t had the best experience.

  5. Big Thank You for mentioning "accessibility" for the disabled – ★★★★★
    ♡♡♡Love & Respect♡♡♡

  6. Turkiye is a beautiful country and easy to live there. I never experienced any exploitation of prices, because I was adamant in paying in Liras. Inflation has hit every country due to the pandemic. Its seems like everyone is trying to make up in charging in dollars or the highest currency. Eating at the restaurant or fast food outlets we only paid in liras. The exchange rate was excellent if you had dollars. The only time I was asked for dollars or euros was at the airport, but as I had liras available I insisted to pay in liras. In my country the rent also sky rocketed, whereby to rent you have to pay 3 months advance before you sign a lease. They only protecting themselves and for breakages. I was told its not only the Turkish people, who are exploiting people but those from other Muslim countries who are giving them a bad name. They own quite a lot of shops and restaurants as well, and they detest these people because they pretend being Turkish.Turkish people on the whole are very kind, helpful and humble. Its a very clean as well compared to some countries.Excellent public transport and discovered by most travellers who visited Turkiye the best in the world. Inexpensive way of transportation, just topping up as you travel. Groceries for basics was reasonable and affordable as to where I live. Bananas I found expensive per kilo. I would go back because its a beautiful country, people friendly, safe to walk at night whereas living where I stay in South Africa you cannot walk like that although I live in a nice area, its people from other areas who come through. Hope you find your place of comfort and where ever you go may you be happy.

  7. ไม่ว่าจะอย่างไรผมก็เคารพการตัดสินใจของคุณเสมอ ไม่มีใครรู้ดีเท่าตัวเรา ขอให้มีความสุขนะ

  8. Thank you so much for sharing your insights and experiences in Turkey . I have gained a lot of information from your largely objective views and relevant subjective opinions for the benefit of the viewers. I must also commend you and your husband in stating your status as foreigners living in a country and not as most bloggers describe themselves as EXPACTS. Using such a terminology of the being Expact promotes the individual as above and more privileged than the citizens of a country . Smacks of hangover if the colonialism. Let’s face it we are all foreigners when we go to another country. We don’t need to set ourselves aside from the local citizens, so congratulations in calling yourselves as foreigners in another country. Best wishes for your travels and look forward to your views on other countries .

  9. ik geef jullie een tip: ga naar India – alles in het Engels en een groot te ontdekken territorium – nieuw is een e-visa voor maar 80 euro gedurende 5 jaar, elke keer 3 maanden verblijven

  10. Pay one year in advance? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻 No!

Great video. I like you guys! Never watched you until now.

You may have saved me a trip from Thailand, where I live now! to Turkey for an exploration trip.

  11. I totally agree with you about inflation,. I live in Mexico and I live on the peso now. You can't help but compare the difference.

  12. Overall in the world is Inflation Not to the Turkey for other visitor is Not expensive or the Homeland is expensive

  13. Thankyou so much for your videos. I adore Turkey and eating out and food in supermarkets are very cheap/reasonable. I hope to watch more from you both. Sending best wishes from Northern Ireland.

  14. Is $3,000 U.S. dollars a month okay for a comfortable living in Turkey? With the strong U.S. dollar, it may help to offset inflation.

  15. I have traveled to about 20 different countries and lived in many different places. A friend of mine suggested I visit Colombia, and now I am here permanently. I still travel occasionally, but Colombia is home. I am constantly investigating other countries (that's how I found your videos) but I cannot find a place I prefer to Colombia. Everybody has different criteria, but it seems that Colombia has something for everyone. I wish you all the best in your travels and your search.

  16. I was living in Kusadasi and got a serious infection in my backbone.. I had to return to the states after 7 weeks in a hospital . I determined with U of Washington hospital that the care to cure the infection would have to be at that hospital..

  17. Ikamet first time may require a travel plan (very likely). But it doesn't state being needed on renewal on their website – nor have I seen any renewal being asked for it locally (I am in Kadıköy).

  18. I just left Turkey because my holiday was over and it was hard! I can only imagine how hard it was for you both after so long. We are seriously considering buying a place there though so will be back in spring 😉

  19. Yes, I discovered that when, AFTER I wrote you, I looked at you main page and saw where you currently are. An interesting fact that we discovered travelling was we went to Thailand first in 1992 and returned in 2012 to find it completely changed with development. That was interesting enough, but we then went to Cambodia in 2013 and remarked that Cambodia in 2013 was more like Thailand in 1992. We would like to return to Cambodia now and see how much it has changed.

  20. If it is where the scene at 1:25 is it must be Thailand, specifically Bangkok. We have been 3 times in the past few years and have planned #4. Koh Samui is our favorite out of all the areas we have visited there.

  21. สาวไทยแต่งงานกับหนุ่มๆๆตรุเคียก็มีเยอะแยะนะครับ ถ้าคุณมาประเทศไทย แล้วคุณจะหลงใหลและรักประทศไทยอย่างแน่นอน
