  3. I love Willie Nelson and this song, but this performance seemed rushed and it didn't come across as deep and introspective as I remember it on the album.

    Willie, Morgan Fairchild and Catherine Ross are amazing in it.

    "Austin City Limits" show, and I recorded it on a VCR tape, but for some reason I have lost it or misplaced it somehow.😪

  17. I’ve known this song forever but I only recently really listened to the lyrics of the full album. For the first time, I realized that there’s a reason his little lost love was asleep on the hillside 😬. Makes the song all the more potent.

  19. Used to watch Austin City Limits on the local PBS channel. Only program I ever watched on PBS. Back before he was known nationally. With the Outlaws.
