Today i show you the Mining Benchmark of the PowerColor AMD Vega 56 8GB, it has been benchmarked on the main coins Ethereum, Zcash and Monero.
This card can mine the following cryptocurrencies found at:
It performed very good for Monero Mining but it has a low hasrate for ZCash and uses too much power for Ethereum mining!

  1. Does anyone have any timings for sapphire pulse vega 56 samsung for good eth hash. Currently doing 40mh at 72w

  2. lol those ETH results, you're doing it wrong.
    try core 1300/880mV ; mem 925-935/880mV
result here on all my (Samsung) vega 56's: 39mh/s @115W-120W gpu only power draw. At the wall you should have a drop of about 75W per card.
    That's 0.32mh/Watt vs your 0.22mh/Watt
Pushing them harder only makes the h/W (efficiency) go down.
    same settings for CNr and CN8 => 1950 h/s

And that's before doing any mods or bios flashing.
Temperatures in the low 50's using the default fan speed control of MSIafterburner. (don't use it for the settings, go with a tool or miner that can set the mV more accurate than the +- slider)
Set all your GPU wattman to custom/manual, else it will fight with your other tools, but you don't have to use it for the settings, although you can.
Also leave the HBCC thingy switched OFF!
You also need at least 8gb pagefile per card to mine cryptonote algo's. (I just simply use 10gb per card)

ETH: Claymore (untuned) and Phoenix miner (autotuned)
CN: teamredminer (untuned , see help/tuning files to squeze over the 2k mark))

  3. With proper tuning Vega 56 can do 45mh/s ETH… and 1950h/s XMR. I have two running that right now.

  4. Hi.
I have been mining xmr for the past few days with two Vega 64 (one on 16x and othet using riser) on Asrock btc 110 mobo. Today I added the third vega 64 with Pci riser and installed the drivers. The graphic card for detected on the device manager and on overdriveN.
The issue is that the Tach LED won't glow on the third one and I suppose that it's because it's not installed properly.
Please let me know where the problem could be.

  5. gpu clock at 1000 MHz and memory clock at 1200 MHz give me 43,5 MH/s of ethereum mining speed and it uses 150 watts… so yeah… you have the wrong settings

  6. Is it possible to combine vega 56 and vega 64 on a single mother board for mining ? Also does the brand of the card matters when we use multiple GPUs ?

  7. I'm having a bit difference in the hashrate stated in my miner's software and the hashrate on the pool's website. Which one is the right one? And if it's the pool's website, why is there a difference of about 2500 hashrate?

  8. Just an FYI, you don't need to enable HBCC to get the 2K hash. All you have to do is Enable/disable the Vega's in Device manager. It's a bug withing AMD Software(Go figure) where upon windows boot-up it doesn't load the actual "compute"
Additionally your Vega Results are way off from my Vega 56s. I'm able to do 38-39mh/s and with Vega 56/ flash to 64 BIOs, 43mh/s with 17.11 Drivers and 44mh/s with blockchain

  9. Is anyone else having problems with using VEGA 64s with RX470s in the same rig? Mine would run for about 24hours and then need a restart, I played around with the drivers and now the system cannot recognize one of the VEGAs. I made the mistake of moving to the newest AMD driver and after that everytime I touch the HBCC control it disappears. The system is quite stable without the VEGAs so stable means all I do is check my account not restart and fool with drivers. I have used the AMD driver uninstaller followed by DDU and a fresh install of the AMD miner driver and still no luck. I was thinking about attempting the newest AMD driver again. Thoughts? The issue pops up when the VEGA attempts to mine Cryptonight, and that freezes the system.

  10. I won the silicon lottery with my powercolor Vega 56s. 44 megahash on Eth at 180 watts stable, at around 60 C. Pretty amazing. Flashed the Bios to 64 of course. Haven't switch to Monero yet.

  11. Calling bullshit on your graph. You can't compare different algorithms in the same graph. And you even did it wrong cause Ethereum is in MH, and the X-axis represented the Hashrate, so it should be around 3 miljon.

  12. I get ~1850H/s on Nicehash Cryptonight with blockchain drivers and the following settings

    -15% Frequency
    940MHz HBM2
    -20% Power Target
    2250RPM minimum fan speed.

I Also have a fan blowing down onto the card to help keep it cool.

  13. Efficient and Results are the same colors.
Beside that, great video. Waiting for my 6 Vega56 (out of stock blablabla)
I'm surprise by the equihash results… I get the same with my 1070s with half the power

  14. Nice burried, keeping thoses benchmarks rolling, also it would be nice if you could make a video about your gaming rig you know, thanksgiving in the states so ya,

I was helping out some Nubinos NU-BEE-NO-SS in your comment section lol, if I could I would give you the leg of my turkey so just imagine it like this👻🍗(you know its there you just can't feel it)

  15. I currently get Eth 41.5 m/h @ 165w with my Gigabyte and Sapphire Vega 56 by flashing it using stock Vega 64 bios

  16. Hi,

I have 1500 EUR and plan to buy cards. What would you suggest go for 2x 1080 TI or 3x Vega 64 ?

  17. why did you use the same color for both results? next time use 2 different colors it will be easier to understand.
and could you also use sol/w or mh/w it would be easier to know the best efficiency

Hey I'm trying to use a mining calculator so do you know H/s for ZCash instead of S/S

  19. Flash with 64-bios and pump it up, yo!
    ETH: 42++ MH/s

I'm running 4 x Vega 56 in one rig at the moment.
    All flashed with 64 bios

    Claymore settings:
    -tt 64
    -cclock 1000
    -cvddc 900
    -mclock 1025
    -mvddc 900
    -powlim 10

Fans running at under 50% – even in my hot mining room!

  20. Nice hash is mining 1050h/s where did you get 1700 with 120 watts?? can you show the card mining

  21. Two rx 470 for 130W? BULLSHIT. One rx 470 uses 110 W. Maybe MSI afterburner is showing you 130W because for rx 470 it shows me around 70W. BUT THIS IS NOT TOTAL POWER OF THE CARD
