  1. Points are valid but what is the alternative? Who else is doing this? No one. So don't blame the fans, we are caught in a tough spot.

  2. Like China would GAF about the environment? This is a country that lives off of child labor.

  3. Not sure if I want them yet. But is everyone forgetting these are CG renders. I want to see more in hand pre production proof videos like they used to do. Haven't seen one in a while.

  4. If $55 is expensive for those figure; then what the hell is $20 for a reaction? I see $55 as a fair price. Lots of accesories

  5. I will buy all of them because S7 is the only company that have done something to produce these toys again. Is not like we have more options to evaluate quality and all that jazz. They look great and if we support them they may do more versions with improvements. Just like TMNT. There are thousand options and every year they do a new one better and that is not stopping us for buying the best of what is available.

  6. Great clip, gents! I watched the whole podcast a day or two ago and find Bobby's insight incredibly valuable. Aaannd now I need to do some budgeting for Action Force #diewalletdie

  7. Toy collectors are unprincipled. Nobody is going to vote with their wallet. Which is why Super 7 will stay in business. Sad but true.

  8. The only silver hawks I own as a kid was monstar and it was a big chunk of red plastic with 5 p articulation besides no one else are doing silver hawks

  9. These are based on the cartoon, that's why they are this muted blue. It's also why Buzzsaw is yellow. Super 7 loves to rerelease, how many times have they released the misfits reaction?, we will see the "toy versions" if these sell even decently. MonStar does look good….

  10. Super 7 has a big fan base I love super 7 none of the shit you said in this video matters super 7 charges 55 dollars because that is the price that they feel they will make the most money that's why its 55 dollars. And articulation is ugly i don't double jointed elbows or thigh cuts because its ugly. Marvel legends $25 super 7 is definitely way better figures than marvel legends so I don't know why all the hate just buy what you like don't hate on super 7 because there making mad money

  11. Love Bobby's thoughts on this. From the unveiling of the first teaser image, I was disappointed in the paint application. My love of the franchise got me to pre-order, but after watching this, I just canceled.

  12. Super 7 shouldn't have to charge £55+ for their Ultimates which are based on popular licences which have a demand for toys when someone can release kickstarter figures with more articulation and paint for £32.

  13. So Bobby could still charge $32 for his figures even if he had to pay Mattel’s “obnoxious licensing fee”, so surely that means he is currently charging too much for his figures.

  14. I hate the fact that I'm one of those that will be paying for this, I pre-ordered it at bbts and I can still cancel at the last minute if I have to. I just plan on displaying these with Motu classics, Thundercats and Silverhawks. That section will represent that 80s itch. After this I plan on never getting anything else from that company. Super7 figures are bittersweet in my collection: I finally get good toy figures from these cartoons but the cost bites every time I see them in my collection.

  15. Not sure why it has to be a battle at all. Am I the only one who digs the stuff Super 7 is doing, and also really looking forward to Valaverse releases? Maybe I have to make a choice so that toys can be a culture war like everything else…

  16. The only way Super7 ultimates are palatable is if you compare them to other (mostly) online only figures like Mafex. Looking at it from that perspective you get more plastic for less money. In reality you're getting outdated articulation that utilize the same kind of cheaper gummy plastic like Hasbro.

I'm a big fan of Hasbro and NECA, and they're only $20-$30 figures. Like you said, even if you factor in the much higher licensing costs (and much higher volume), it still doesn't add up. If someone truly competent was at the helm, we'd have $35 ultimates, and waves would be coming out quicker than every 3 years. As in much better business relations with the factories in China, for starters.

  17. Another odd thing with Super7 is the price of ReAction figures. They went from $10 to $18 when Funko stopped distributing. You have other comparable/better figures that are still selling for $10. How is it that I can buy brand new ReAction figures off eBay for $18 shipped, yet direct from Super7 they're $18+ shipping? I understand distributors get a discount, but that still comes to a huge price difference, especially factoring in getting them directly from the company.

  18. I'm not one to jump to conclusions and go on a tantrum, but I've been pointing out for years it's a Brian Flynn issue. I just simply said the Chinese don't like them, which is why they get the short end of the stick. The BS excuses Brian makes are absurd when you compare figures being made by comparable or smaller companies that are knocking 'em at a fraction of the cost.

And how is it that 8 brand new Turtles figs have been produced, but not 1 new ThunderCats; and Turtles were announced later. Take something like the interview they did when the ThunderTank was on pre-order. Brian's breaking down the cost compared to the minimum that need to be produced, well that number was shattered. How come the price didn't get lowered, or multiple additions added besides that one little accessory. I can go on and on, but it's been very obvious from the get-go that it's a Brian problem. I'll be genuinely shocked if we ever get a single new ThunderCats.

  19. I'm a huge fan of Silverhawks and I'm not getting these. Just overall disappointing
